Pretty typical volume day for me with a 3 hour classic this morning and a 2 hour run this afternoon. I did my morning session with my teammate Tad Elliott and my afternoon session with a friend who skis for the University of Utah, Miles Havlick. I got to hang out in the park with some friends from the Alpine U.S. Ski Team in the middle of the day.
I don’t have any pictures from today so I wanted to post this picture of my teammate, Kikkan Randall with the FIS World Cup Sprint Globe that she won last season. The FIS globe is given to the best World Cup skier over the course of an entire season in a given discipline: Distance, Sprint, and Overall. One of my biggest career goals is to win a distance globe. Kikkan was the second U.S. cross country skier to win a globe and the first female.
