I had fun last night slacklining (essentially tightrope walking) with Heidi Kloser, a mogul skier on the U.S. Ski Team. It was a little dark so we brought an indoor lamp out to cast some light on the subject.
It was still a little tough in the semidarkness.
Slacklining is a fun way to work on balance and core strength. I can’t stay on very long, but I definitely improve when I do it consistently.
I also started a new core strength/plyometrics program yesterday. It was really fun to be able to jump again and my knee felt great.
Yesterday morning I did a session I have never done before: 30 minutes of double pole warm-up, 30 minutes of double pole at threshold (hard but sustainable), then I switched to running shoes and did 40 minutes of a bounding circuit (running up and down hills with poles, ski imitation) at threshold followed by 20 minutes of jogging to cool-down. It was a really tough session for me.

Hi Noah
Bookmarked your blog and will be checking in to see whats new with you.
It is a great idea and it should be much easier to stay in touch with people instead of blast e-mailing everyone. Looks like you are having a productive summer, and I hope you are enjoying yourself.
Laura said she had fun when she saw you and the gang last week.
Well I’ll stay in touch .
Keith
